The seventh edition of BrLab – development of audiovisual projects – will take place on October 19-27, 2017, in São Paulo. Professionals interested in participating must submit their projects, free of charge, until July 10, 2017, through this website. The laboratory activities are focused on the development of fiction feature projects in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, and training of audiovisual professionals from these regions. In this edition, BrLab will include two project categories: the traditional one, dedicated to projects in early stages of development, and the kick off of the Audience Design Workshop, developed in partnership with TorinoFilmLab, for projects in advanced stages of development and financing, which already have a committed distributor and/or an international sales agent.

BrLab is an activity developed by Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual, in co-realization with Spcine, Secretaria Municipal de Cultura and with SESC SP, with the institutional support of Mostra Internacional de Cinema em São Paulo, Instituto Cervantes, ANCINE – Agência Nacional de Cinema. It’s activities will take place on October 19-27, 2017, same period as the 41st Mostra Internacional de Cinema em São Paulo, and also counts on the support from FiGa/Br, Vitrine Filmes, Cinema do Brasil Programme, LatAm Cinema, Festival Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Toulouse (Cinéma en Développement), TorinoFilmLab, Tribeca Film Institute, RECAM, FAAP, French Embassy in Brazil , Institute Français, Consulate of Israel, Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cesnik Quintino & Salinas Advogados and Revista de Cinema. The project was selected by the Patrocínios Culturais Incentivados Oi Programme – EDITAL 2017/2018 SELEÇÃO NACIONAL DE PROJETOS CULTURAIS.
